Point-of-Care Diagnostics

The diagnostics industry is rapidly growing, and one of the strongest segments is in point-of-care diagnostics for near-patient testing or home use. Technologies are becoming available that will enable point-of-care assays that are rapid, accurate, and easy to use. The development of assays for applications in cardiac treatment, infectious disease and immune disease will be highlighted, as well as the demand for generating reliable data and reducing costs. With the prospect of pandemic influenza and emerging infectious disease outbreaks, point-of-care assays will address a serious unmet medical need.

If you would like to submit a proposal to give a podium presentation or display a poster at this meeting, please send us a title and brief, 3-5 sentence summary of a proposed topic on your recent work in the area of the point-of-care diagnostics.

To ensure the quality of the program, all proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Committee.
