Successes
in antibody therapeutics are revolutionizing the biotech and
pharmaceutical industry, thus driving the next-generation of antibody
research and development. Recent advances in antibody
selection and engineering techniques have led to the development of
antibodies specific for highly conserved targets, the creation of novel
antibody-based structures, significant improvements in affinity for target
antigens, enhanced ability to engage immune effector functions, and the
creation of fusion proteins with direct cytotoxic properties.
Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Inaugural Creating the
Next-Generation of Antibodies: Capturing the Competitive Edge focuses
on novel technologies as well as the business strategies currently in use
to aid the advancement of next generation antibodies through the drug
development pipeline.
